WeDate

WeDate is a revolutionary new online dating app concept. Presenting singles with a new way to think about dating with likeminded people. As a new brand to a cluttered market the app needed a launch strategy that was going to create excitement and acquire new customers in the Australian market.

The Insight

Online dating needed a shakeup. Did you know that over 80% of all first dates are coffee meetings? How boring! WeDate reversed the dating process, by putting their entire focus on the dating experience instead of the person. By selecting a dog walking date experience on the beach in Sydney, its far more likely that you will attract someone with similar interests. Being an app that flipped dating on its head, we needed a strategy that also flipped expectations and made people want to give it a try.

The Idea

To bring the new brand to life and deliver a successful launch, we developed a comprehensive app launch playbook, retention framework and App Store optimisation strategy. Using customer and market data to inform our strategy, we delivered the CEO and founding team a comprehensive go to market playbook. This defined the key messages, types of communication, best practices and digital optimisation techniques to deliver on the objectives of maximising subscribers.
